Who is a Florida Gubernatorial Fellow?
Florida Fellows demonstrate the highest commitments to educational and professional excellence, from taking the lead on challenges that face Floridians today, to envisioning solutions for issues the state will face in the future.
Individuals interested in becoming Florida Fellows should understand clearly what the program offers. It is not an internship. Fellows lead important projects. They are expected to contribute immediately at a professional level and excel at handling each new challenge as it arises.
Florida Fellows care deeply about the well-being of the state's citizens and realize their own personal growth and achievement goes hand-in-hand with that of the public. Fellows get opportunities to meet and candidly converse with the Governor, U.S. Senators and numerous other influential state leaders.
A Florida Fellow is simultaneously a great leader, a team player and an avid learner. A Fellow is unafraid to lead by conviction and is open to new perspectives and viewpoints.
The Gubernatorial Fellows Program is entirely non-partisan. A Florida Fellow is expected to perform all duties in the spirit of inclusion, of teamwork and the best interests of Florida's citizens.
More specifics about selection criteria can be found in the Frequently Asked Questions page.
